- Bio: Heather Anderson Landmesser, 43, of Buckhead, died July 30, 2010 while surrounded by family and close friends. She was born on May 26, 1967 in Fargo, N.D., to the late Scott and Rosemary Gabriel Anderson. Heather spent most of her childhood in Reston, Va. She was a graduate of Bridgewater College and received her Master's degree from James Madison University. Heather was a devoted mother to her son, Scotty. She and Scotty had lived in Buckhead for the past six years. Heather loved to read and research genealogy. She was an active member of the Democratic Party.
- Heather braved a courageous battle for seven years against breast cancer. She fought it every day for her son, Scotty. She was an inspiration to all and will be missed each and every day. Her motto was to live each day as if it were your last.
- Heather's life will be celebrated at the ChopHouse Grille in Madison, on Friday, August 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Close friends and family are also invited to attend a more intimate service on Saturday, August 7 at 11 a.m. at her sister's home in Cuscowilla in Eatonton, Ga. Please try to wear pink.
- In lieu of flowers, she would want donations to be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in her memory or to the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy in Madison, Ga., where she volunteered. There will also be an account set up at United Bank in Madison for her son, Scotty Landmesser.
- A.E. Carter Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
