- Bio: Funeral Services Held Tuesday for Albert Baker, 86Funeral Services were held Tuesday Feb. 27 in the First Presbyterian Church in Pender for Albert M. Baker, 86. The Rev. Ernest Rosenkrans of the Pender Assembly of God Church, officiated.Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.Mrs. James Rhamek was the soloist, and Mrs. Elmer Peck was the organist.Palbearers were Paul Pinon, Sam Smith, Terman Morse, William Meyer, Harold Pearson, and Harry Cooney.OBITUARYAlbert Baker, son of Ole and Betsey Baker was born May 20, 1875 near Tekamah, Nebr., and passed away Feb. 21, 1962 at the Pender Community Hospital after a lingering illness, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and one day.He moved to Thurston County in 1896, and was united in marriage with Mary Potter on May 2, 1900, and located on a farm east of Pender.Three Children were born to this union.He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mary, two sons George and Roy of Pender, and one daughter Hazel Ollsen, Rosario, Argentina, South America. Two sisters, Mrs. Del Boyd and Mrs. Bert Smith who are now living in California. Seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.Published in The Pender Times, Mar. 2, 1962
