- Bio: Great Falls (MT) Tribune, 27 May 1987:Carl E. Borsheim, 80, 1901 5th St. SW, a longtime doorman at the Great Falls Elks Club, died Saturday of cancer at his residence.A funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place in the Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum. Croxford and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.He was born, raised and educated in Black Eagle. In 1931 he worked at the Home Oil Refinery, which was later purchased by Phillips Petroleum. He retired from the Borsheim refinery in 1972. Following his retirement, he worked as a doorman for eight years at the Elks Club, 500 1st Ave. S.In 1935 he married Doris M. Halverson in Choteau. She died in 1983.Borsheim was a member of Elks Lodge No. 2H, Sons of Norway, Scottish Rite, Algeria Shrine of Helena, Masonic Lodge and Great Falls Senior Citizen center.Survivors include his son, Roger of Great Falls; daughters, Linda Lee Wrobel of Cascade and Carole Mae Olson of Great Falls; brother, Earl Westrom; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He was preceeded in death by brothers Melvin Johnson, Ralph Borsheim and Martin Borsheim; and a sister, Gudren LeFurgy.
