Elivia (Fjeldheim) Falk, widow of G. Robert Falk, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2008. She was 92. She was known for her kindness, community service, and joyful spirit. Elivia was born and raised on her family's farm, north of Saco, Montana, along with two sisters, Imelia (now Blazek) and Bertina (now Mrs. Frank Evans), and a brother, Orville. They lived with their parents until Elivia went away to high school in Whitewater, Montana, and then in Saco. On a 1938 trip to Seattle to visit her uncle, she found work in Bellingham, and made the city her home. She met her husband, Bob, and they had been married over 63 years at the time of his death. She and her husband served the Sons of Norway Lodge for over 50 years, and was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, and worked with various women's groups. During World War II, she worked for Boeing, putting airplane co-pilot seats together. She also worked for Anita's Dress Shop in Bellingham. Elivia is survived by her sisters as well as her three children: daughter Kristine Falk, of Bellingham, and her special friend, Steve Clark, Donna Lee and husband Eldon, of Glasgow, Montana, and her son Loren Falk and wife Diane, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; eight grandchildren, Missi and husband Allan Dubuque of Bellingham, Stephanie and husband Eric Johnson of Yearington, Nevada, Matthew Falk of Burlington, Washington, Summer Falk of Yakima, Washington, Lisa Tario of Duvall, Washington, Daniel Lee of Everett, Washington, Jason Lee of Laurel, Montana and Jennifer Lee of Bismarck, North Dakota; four great-grandchildren, Danielle Dubuque, Dylan Dubuque, Nicholas Tario, and Sophie Tario; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and innumerable friends. The family wishes to acknowledge the love and care Elivia received from the Staff of St. Francis Health Care, her doctors, and Whatcom Hospice. Memorial may be made to Whatcom Hospice, Sons of Norway, or the Washington Lung Association. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16th at Faith Lutheran Church, McLeod and Northwest, Bellingham.
