- Wayne Raymond Hackett, 76, of Crookston died at Riverview Hospital in Crookston on Monday.
- Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Crookston. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stenshoel Funeral Home and for an hour before the services on Thursday.
- He was born in Clay County, South Dakota near Wakonda, on August 28, 1908 to Albert and Laura Hackett.
- He married Alma Hartmann on March 4, 1937 in St. Cloud. They settle in Eldred, where he farmed until retiring in 1975. His wife died on Jun 25, 1972. He entered St. Frances Residence on December 18, 1980. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Crookston.
- Survivors include one son, Mylan of Grand Forks, North Dakota; three daughters, Marlys Perry of Crookston, Verna Seaton of Crookston and Karen Corbin of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Edgar and Arnold both of Rice; one sister, Loretta Schuster of Belvidere, Illinois; two half sisters, Grave McNeil of Minneapolis and Beverly Lundsford of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
