- Bio: HIGH SCHOOL BOY SUCCUMBS IN CITY
Edgar Leslie Korupp, 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Korupp, died Saturday afternoon at his home at 522Seventeenth St. He had been ill at different periods for the last six years.
Edgar was a freshman in Bismarck high school and was prominent in Boy Scout activities, being ready to receive his first class badge at the time of his death.
He was born at Hazen Oct. 19, 1916, and came to Bismarck with his parents when a small child. He had received all of his education in Capital City schools.
He was a member of Boy Scout troop No. 4.
He leaves his parents, two brothers and three sisters, all living here. They are Clifford, Wallace, Beverly, Marlys and Shirley. Edgar also leaves his grandparents, living at Halliday, and several uncles and aunts, all residing in the Missouri Slope area.
Fellow Boy Scouts will be pallbearers at funeral services from Webb's Funeral Chapel at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Walter E. Vater, pastor of McCabe Methodist Episcopal church, will officiate.
The pallbearers include Glen Cartledge, Brand Drew, Robert Gussner, Melvin Stewart, Sam Tolchinsky and Arthur Gussner.
The body will lie in state at Webb's Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening.
