- Bio: Ruth Anne Nelson, age 53, of Henry, SD, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services were on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown with Pastor Wayne Gallipo officiating. Interment was in the Providence Valley Cemetery, Dawson, MN.
- Active Pallbearers will be her nephews: Greg, Grant, Corey, Ben, John and Kyle Nelson.
- Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her other nieces and nephews.
- Ruth Anne Nelson was born on January 19, 1956 to Verden L. and Doris L. (Anderson) Nelson in Canby, Minnesota. She attended some grade school in Minneapolis, MN and the family moved to a farm south east of Henry, SD. Ruth finished her schooling there, graduating from Henry High School. She went to Medical Records School in Minneapolis, MN and then attended college at Madison, SD.
- Ruth worked at the state hospital in Jamestown, ND, Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, SD, Hot Springs Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis, WY, and was currently working as an in home Medical Transcriptionist for MedQuist in Henry.
- She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, occasional visits to the casino, reading, watching reality shows and monthly lunches with her friends.
- She was preceded in death by her father, and her grandparents.
- She is survived by her mother, Doris L. Nelson of Henry; her siblings, Mike (Lola) Nelson and Tim (Diane) Nelson all of Henry, Dan (Kimberly) Nelson of Clark, Jane ((Greg) Johnson of Sparks, NV, and Jeff (Mary) Nelson of Clark; 15 nieces and nephews; and 19 great nieces and nephews.
